{"id":571,"date":"2026-05-24T04:28:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-24T04:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifechaptersusa.online\/?p=571"},"modified":"2026-05-24T04:28:01","modified_gmt":"2026-05-24T04:28:01","slug":"man-kicks-mountain-lion-attacking-his-dog-just-outside-home-and-saves-her-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifechaptersusa.online\/?p=571","title":{"rendered":"Man Kicks Mountain Lion Attacking His Dog Just Outside Home And Saves Her Life"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>May 22, 2026<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kevin and his wife love living in the hills of Southern California, but one recent afternoon their peaceful home in Glendora was shattered by blood-curdling screams from outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kevin immediately ran downstairs and out the front door, where he was faced with a terrifying sight \u2014 a mountain lion had his dog, Sasha, by the head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a split second, instinct took over. He rushed in, shouting for the animal to get away, and fought to free his dog from the attack. The mountain lion, estimated at around 130 pounds compared to Sasha\u2019s 95 pounds, eventually fled after Kevin intervened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was just, \u2018This is our child,\u2019\u201d he said, describing the moment he realized there was no hesitation \u2014 only action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kevin kicked at the animal to drive it off and managed to get Sasha to safety. Though she suffered serious bites to her head, and even had one of the mountain lion\u2019s teeth embedded in her skull, she is thankfully expected to recover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAny dog lover who loves their dog would do the same thing I did.
